A New York native and SVA alum, Mark is an illustrator, art director and designer. He has worked under world-renowned graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister as well as Pentagram’s Paula Scher.
In the summer of 2023 Mark was asked to create five artworks depicting carnivorous plants and showcased at the historic national Landmark site of the New York Public Library as part of the special exhibit “Charles Darwin: A Life in Letters”
In 2018 Mark was awarded a 60th anniversary gold medal, The Society of Illustrator’s highest honor. His work for the book entitled 2005 was shortlisted for the Anamorphis Prize for self published photo books and obtained by MoMA’s permanent library. Mark has also been recognized and featured by The New York Times, It’s Nice That, American Illustration, AIGA, Print, FPO Awards, Wired, Buzzfeed, The Atlantic, Fast Company, Gizmodo, Communication Arts and Graphis to name a few. Mark has spoken at events, companies and institutions including Columbus Society of Communication Arts, Pratt, MICA, FIT and Hush Creative.
Mark also runs the multi-disciplinary design studio OOO alongside creative directing partner, Elana Schlenker.
